Construction Project Manager

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Construction Project Manager at Actiform, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our projects from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader who is passionate about construction and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, timelines, resources, and key milestones for the project.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define the project scope, ensuring all elements are included and accounted for.
- Develop programmes of work produced by the Preconstruction Manager, that consider all aspects of the project, key milestones and dependencies
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Actiform and client team, ensuring clear and consistent communication, engaging with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to manage expectations, gather requirements, and provide updates on project progress.
- Collaborate with the design and manufacturing team to ensure that modules are produced according to the project specifications and schedule.
- Through our Production Manager, ensure the transporting of modular units from the factory to the construction site and cranes, have been booked and arranged within project timeframes.
- Coordinate the on-site assembly of modular units, working with contractors, engineers, and other site personnel to ensure smooth and efficient installation
- Conduct or oversee inspections during the on-site assembly phase to verify that the installation is carried out correctly and meets quality standards.
- In collaboration with the Design Manager and external consultants, ensure that the project complies with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards, both in the factory and on-site.
- Monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle, identifying any cost overruns and implementing corrective actions to keep the project within budget.
- Identify potential risks associated with the project, including production delays, transportation issues, and on-site challenges and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Plan resources effectively to ensure that all aspects of the project are adequately staffed and equipped.
- Monitor project progress against the project plan, identifying any deviations from the schedule and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and any changes to the project plan.
- Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the project.
- Ensure that all parties adhere to the terms of the contract, including timelines, quality standards, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Degrees in Construction or project management
- PRINCE2 or APM
- Previous experience in construction project management, Modular would be preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Must be willing and able to obtain SC security Clearance for high security sites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High-level decision-making skills
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and Sharepoint
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
