Stefan Dransfield

Our Managing Director Stefan has been at the helm of the business for over 40 years; over this time, he has created a highly respected off-site engineered solution for our Clients across the UK.

He has worked in all aspects of the business from manufacturing, site delivery and now resides mainly in his new office; he vows never to retire – and if you know Stefan, you had better believe it! Client care and relationships are incredibly important to Stefan, on projects he has an active role in the design process, the focal point of our bespoke modular offering. With his years of experience, he guides our Clients with solutions that truly meet their needs, often adding value and innovation to their schemes.

When Stefan is not at his drawing board, you’ll find him behind the wheel of one of his beloved classic cars or spending time with his family and his dogs.

Financial Director

Stephen Gillespie

As our Financial Director of the company Steve works long side Stefan steering the Actiform ship.  Having spent over 25 years crunching the numbers at Actiform, seeing the company developed through the years into new markets and sectors, Steve has helped safely financially nurture the company to what it is today.

Steve is cool, calm and extremely positive person and when he is not managing the accounts, you’ll find him out on the golf course, supporting Spurs or spending time with his family. 

Chief Operating Officer

Shellie O’Connor

After almost 20 years in the Police, Shellie joined Actiform in 2020. Following on from a career of locking up baddies, she now leads the business in developing long-term growth plans through pioneering processes and creating effective and efficient teams across the business. She actively leads on opportunities for new business and also nurtures existing customer relations.

Within the business Shellie is an advocate of quality and business improvement, challenging and improving processes to make Actiform the best it can be. Having a background that sits outside of the construction sector, she brings a refreshing and respected point of view to our high-level business goals and objectives; this breaks the mould and as a business we feel the benefit of this experience across all parts Actiform.

When Shellie is not knee deep in bids, you’ll find her practising her running or walking the dog, spending time with her family and friends or sipping a pint of ‘Blonde’ at one of her favourite locals.

Chief Technical Officer

Nick Collington

As a qualified engineer with over 20 years’ experience working across the globe, on manufacturing, process and automation projects, Nick brings a wealth of experience to Actiform’s off-site engineering offering. Nick’s technical expertise adds great value to our healthcare schemes and to our innovation in module design, as we move towards carbon net zero for our business and our clients.

Nick is involved in all aspects of the business, including the delivery of our buildings, starting at the core of our business, our factory in Mirfield, to spending time on our nationwide sites with our delivery and client teams. When Nick is not driving technical innovations forward, he is spending time with his family, watching Formula1 or walking on the moors (followed by a swift pint!).

Estimator / Aftercare

Ian Collier

Having been at Actiform for almost 30 years, Ian has played a crucial part in every aspect of the business; he truly understands every aspect of the modular design and construction process. He is a highly respected member of the team and has recently played a pivot role in the design and delivery of some of Actiform’s most high-profile Healthcare schemes.

When working on projects Ian has a traditional and long-established methodology, which partnered with new technologies, delivers clear, robust solutions throughout fast-paced design and build modular and refurbishment contracts. As a self-confessed petrol head, Ian fondly reminisces of his elemental days at Actiform when he first drove down the cobbles in his beloved 205 GTI.

Contracts Manager

Paul Blackmore

Having had experience in construction with a National Housebuilder, and spending 4 years in the Royal Navy, Paul joined the team over 12 years ago and leads our extensive site accommodation portfolio.  Paul is highly respected project manager, ensuring that the clear scope and objectives set by our clients are delivered, with expert quality and programming.

Paul is a calm and hardworking individual, and in recent years has successfully delivered many well-known water, rail and road infrastructure projects across the UK, providing safe, secure and comfortable accommodation on these often-operational locations. When Paul is not working hard delivering his projects, you’d question is he was from the other side of the pond…. with his love of NYC and American Football, especially the New York Giants.

Project Manager

Tom Marsden

Tom is a highly respected Project Manager both internally by his peers, by his site delivery teams and externally by our Clients. 16 years ago, Tom joined as an apprentice; his progression through the company has been driven by his ‘can do’ attitude, which encapsulates the ethos of Actiform.  Having experienced all aspects of the business, Tom has in-depth understanding of project processes such as programming and procurement complimented by technical knowledge of how the modules are manufactured, delivered and constructed on site.

Tom is huge advocate for client care, health & safety and quality is all aspects of projects.  When Tom is not looking after his projects and Clients, he is likely to be spending time with his family, maybe having a cheeky pint watching Liverpool or meandering the East Coast of Yorkshire.

Project Manager

Rob Bailey

Rob began his time at Actiform 13 years ago when he started working in the factory as a joiner, his talent and drive was soon recognised, and he quickly made his way through the company to the position of Project Manager.  Client satisfaction is crucial to Rob, and he will do what it takes to ensure we deliver on our promises. He is well respected not just by the Actiform team but also the many sub-contractors we work with, Rob has a knack of keeping his peers motivated and focused to get the job done and keep the project on track.

Rob has worked on multiple projects for Actiform and in varying sectors such as Education, Health and MOD.

When not delivering projects up and down the country, you might find him on the golf course or strumming on his guitar.

Buyer

Steve Hemmingway

Steve is key driver for health and safety across the business. Bringing experience from a fabrications company, Steve is able to share valuable insights into processes that we are continuously developing at Actiform in line with internal management systems for Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and BIM.

Steve also plays are large part in our purchasing team supporting both the factory and our site teams. When Steve is not conducting inspections or conducting audits, he is likely to playing 5-a-side (without injury!), watching Arsenal, or spending time with his family.

Project Support Manager

Kathryn Collington

Joining in 2021, Kat brings experience of having worked in property and construction for 15 years. She manages Actiform’s contracts with the project management team, with client care, quality and continuous improvement at the core of this role. Having taken time out to own a veggie café for 5 years, she’s enjoying being back in the sector where she can add value with her experience. As a forward thinker, avid planner and list lover Kat also supports Actiform through planning and continuous improvement actions that impact the wider business. When not ticking things off lists, Kat enjoys spending time with her young family, making homemade pizza and rummaging around charity shops for a bargain or 3!

Office Manager

Beverley Fox

Our office Manager Bev has been here nearly 30 years. Affectionately known as “the Oracle”, Bev is at the centre of everything we do at Actiform and what she doesn’t know, well, it just isn’t worth knowing!

She is the cheery voice at the other end of the phone if you call the office and the first smile you will see when visiting us. Bev takes care of everything from administration tasks, dealing with clients, insurances, HR and everything in between.

When she isn’t keeping our office running smoothly, you’ll find her taking part in anything energetic and she will definitely be the first on the dance floor at the Office party!

Finance and Payroll Assistant

Liz Ingham

Liz is our Finance and Payroll Assistant and has been with us for nearly a year, originally covering maternity leave for another staff member however she loves it so much, she stuck around!

Liz handles all the payroll and accounting activities and works closely with our QS and Financial Director. She has always worked in an accounting environment in different industries and has proved to be a great addition to the team and quickly adapting to our processes and internal systems. Just like the rest of team, Liz loves seeing the outcome of a project and dealing with happy, satisfied customers.

When not surrounded by financial correspondence in our “Counting House”, you might well find Liz blasting out a song on Karaoke or spending some time nurturing her creative side through taking part on arts and craft activities.

Pre-construction Manager

Eugene Ivanoff

Eugene Ivanoff, Pre-construction Manager at Actiform, brings over 7 years of experience in project management across various sectors including retail, commercial, healthcare, and leisure. His career spans roles such as Project Coordinator, Projects Manager, and Senior Project Manager. Eugene specializes in pre-construction surveys, project coordination, and construction programming, operating both in office and on-site environments. He has worked with prominent clients such as ASDA, Cooperative, and IKEA. Eugene finds satisfaction in successful project delivery and thrives in dynamic team environments. His key skills include cross-functional team leadership, project planning, client relationships, and risk assessments.

Account Manager

Nicola Sharpe

With 23 years at Actiform, initially covering maternity leave, I’ve become part of the family. Prior, I held administrative roles while studying at Business College. In the office, I handle weekly payroll/HR, accounts, general admin, and IT support. My job entails varied tasks but consistent monthly duties, fostering relationships with suppliers/customers. Satisfaction comes from contributing to Actiform’s growth. I’m skilled in multitasking, problem-solving, and am a motivated team player with a friendly demeanor.
