HS2

Following a competitive tendering process, Actiform were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and deliver multiple buildings for the Balfour Beatty Vinci JV (BBVJV) section of the HS2 project. Building on longstanding experience, we delivered a series of 2/3 storey modular office and welfare facilities designed in accordance with the HS2 BREEAM guidelines.

Our Approach

Building on longstanding experience in off-site engineered construction, Actiform designed, manufactured and delivered a series of 2/3 storey modular office and welfare facilities to support the development of HS2.

Working as part of the Balfour Beatty Vinci JV supply chain, the team ensured every building was designed in accordance with the HS2 BREEAM guidelines, meeting the programme’s sustainability and performance requirements while supporting the diverse operational needs of the site — from stores and laboratory offices through to training centres.

Working closely with our estates and clinical leads, Actiform supported the design and build of a new modular emergency care unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. The team helped us move away from traditional, siloed structures towards a flexible, technology-enabled space, working hand in hand with our design team to deliver a future-focused build, fully integrated into hospital operations.
